Biography

2008: Started all eight gamesfor the Bobcats playing wide receiver and quarterback.... Led theteam in touchdowns with four.... Ranked third on the team inreceiving yards with 219.... Tied for first on the team inreceiving touchdowns with three, including twotouchdown receptions in a win over Hamilton on November 8....Second on the team in all-purpose yards with 369, for an average of46.1 yards per game.... Ranked third on the team in rushingyards with 114.... Rushed for a touchdown in a loss at Bowdoinon November 1.... Was the team’s primary punt returner,averaging 4.5 yards per return.... Had a 106.8 passer efficiencyrating as a part-time quarterback, completing 12 of 18 attempts for86 yards.

2007: Ranked third in the NESCACin all-purpose yards, averaging 109.6 yards per game, sixth inthe NESCAC for receiving, averaging 55 yards per game, and sixth inthe NESCAC for kick return average (18.4 per game).... Finished theseason with 877 all-purpose yards, the highest total for aBobcat since Sean Atkins '03 had 1,085 in 2002.... Ranked first onteam in punt returns (nine for 55 yards) and kick returns (17 for312 yards), as well as second on team in touchdowns scored(three).... Totaled 70 rushing yards.... Beaton had a game-highseven catches and 93 yards in win over Hamilton at the end of theseason.

2006: Saw brief action asreserve quarterback, completing 1 of 2 passes and rushing for 5yards on 3 carries.

BatesExtracurricular Activities: Three year letterwinner on thebaseball team, Beaton was the Bobcats’ starting shortstop andleadoff hitter in 2009, batting .284 with 19 stolen bases, thehighest number in the NESCAC, and a team-high 23 walks and 25 runsscored…. Member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee(SAAC).

High School: Four-year varsity athlete forfootball and basketball; played as a quarterback in football and apoint guard in basketball.... Three-year member of varsity baseballteam, shortstop....
