MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Bates men's soccer traveled to Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon and evened its conference record with a 1-0 victory over the Cardinals.
The Bobcats (3-2-1, 1-1-1 NESCAC) broke through in the 84th minute when sophomore
Will Stillman (Windsor, Conn.) scored his first collegiate goal, delivering the eventual game-winner and sealing the victory for Bates. Junior
Andrew Jean Baptise (Montvale, N.J.) recorded the assist.
The match was evenly contested, with both teams recording 10 shots. Bates put seven shots on goal, while Wesleyan (4-2-1, 1-2 NESCAC) managed two on target.
First-year goalkeeper
Isaac Kolaczkowski (Beavercreek, Ohio) earned the win in goal for the Bobcats, making two saves to record the shutout.
Bates returns home Wednesday, Sept. 30, when the Bobcats host Maine Maritime Academy at 7 p.m. on Russell St. Field.
