CLINTON, N.Y. – Bates men's soccer earned a point in the conference standings Saturday afternoon with a scoreless draw at Hamilton.
Ninety minutes was not enough for either Bates (1-1-1, 0-1-1 NESCAC) or Hamilton (1-1-1, 0-1-1 NESCAC) to find the back of the net. The Bobcats held a slight edge in corner kicks, 6-1, but neither team was able to capitalize on its opportunities. Hamilton finished with nine shots, including three on goal, while Bates recorded seven shots with two on target.
Junior goalkeeper
George Nassar (Newtonville, Mass.) made two saves to record the shutout for the Bobcats.
Bates returns to action Tuesday for its home opener against Husson. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Russell St. Field.
