SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The Bates men's track and field team sent a limited number of athletes to the New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held Friday and Saturday at Springfield College.
Meet Highlights
- Senior Aydan Gedeon-Hope (Norton, Mass.) won his heat in the 100-meter dash in a personal-record time of 10.75 seconds before taking sixth in the final in 10.86 seconds.
- Junior Ryan Harding (Wellesley, Mass.), Gedeon-Hope, first-year Briggs Catino (Rye, N.H.), and junior Evan Berthiaume (East Greenwich, R.I.) teamed up to take fifth out of 19 teams in the 4x100 relay in 42.56 seconds.
- Senior captain Carson Moellering (Natick, Mass.) finished seventh in the decathlon with 5,318 points. He particularly shined in the long jump, which he won with a personal-record leap of 21-10.75 (6.67m), good for seventh on the Bates all-time performance list.
The Bobcats will send a bigger group to this Friday and Saturday's Farley Inter Regional at Williams College.
