LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College women's tennis took the home court for the final time during the 2024-25 regular season Sunday as the Bobcats welcomed No. 5 Wesleyan to Merrill Gymnasium for the NESCAC tilt. Prior to first serve, the garnet and white celebrated the collegiate contributions of seniors Lizzie Frekko, Olivia Gidlow, Ava Lyon, and Drew Williams during a special pre-match ceremony.

"These four seniors have laid the foundation for what Bates Tennis will stand for," said head coach Deepak Sharma. "I'm incredibly thankful for the way they've led and for the energy they brought to my first season with the program."

Once the action was underway, the visiting Cardinals soared to a 7-0 conference victory.

Wesleyan, winners of 14 in a row, climbs to 14-1 (7-0 NESCAC) with the victory while the garnet and white finishes the day at 5-12 overall (3-5 NESCAC). The Bobcats will now prepare to visit No. 34 Colby on Wednesday, Apr. 23 at 3:00 p.m.
