Alexandra Long have both once again been named All-NESCAC, as announced Thursday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
Daulerio (Harpswell, Maine) is a first team All-NESCAC selection for the second straight season. She is leading the Bobcats in scoring at 15.2 points per game and is also a force on the boards, pacing Bates with her 9.1 rebounds per game. She is eighth in the NESCAC in scoring and third in rebounding. Daulerio, the program's all-time leading shot blocker with 149 and counting, ranks third in the conference this year at 1.7 blocks per game. Â
Long (Newtown, Pa.) is a second team All-NESCAC selection for the second straight season. She is averaging four assists per game, which ranks first in the NESCAC. Her 2.11 assist-to-turnover ratio is the best in the conference and ranks 22nd in all of NCAA Division III. Long's shooting has improved dramatically this year, as the talented guard leads the Bobcats in field goal percentage at .544. She has also knocked down 40 percent of her three-point attempts (24-60), tops on the team.
The Bobcats (16-9, 6-4 NESCAC)Â earned a spot in the NCAA tournament for the third time in the last four years. They take on Southern Virginia in the first round this Friday at 4:15 p.m. on the campus of the University of Scranton.
