LEWISTON, Maine– The Bates College women's soccer team closed out its 2025 season Tuesday night with a 4-2 loss to Colby at Russell Street Field. The Bobcats finish the year with a record of 4-8-3 (0-8-2 NESCAC).
Bates opened the scoring in the 21st minute when senior Kylie Musante netted her first goal of the season, and the second of her career, placing a shot perfectly into the bottom right corner.
Colby responded in the second half with a surge of four goals in just over 10 minutes to take a 4-1 lead. Senior Gabby Monaco answered for the Bobcats in the 75th minute, scoring her first goal of the season to cut the deficit to 4-2.
The Mules outshot Bates 20-6, including an 11-5 edge on target. Junior goalkeeper Sydney Litney and first-year Brady Jacobson split time in goal, combining for seven saves, four from Litney and three from Jacobson.
