MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Bates College men's soccer snagged a key conference point in the NESCAC standings as the Bobcats played to a 0-0 stalemate Saturday on the road at Wesleyan University.

Wesleyan, playing to its second 0-0 result of the season, owned a 14-6 advantage in the shot column with a 4-2 margin on frame. Chris Porte paced the home team with four shots. Three other Cardinals tied for two shots apiece in the effort.
Lane Fousheé collected a team-best two shots (1 SOG) in 90 total minutes for the Bobcats.
George Nassar secured four saves in net for the road team, earning the first-year keeper his fourth solo shutout in six collegiate starts.
The Bobcats (4-1-1, 1-0-1 NESCAC) now return to campus as they prepare to host #19 Bowdoin this Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. on the newly-installed turf of Russell Street Track & Field.
