KEENE, N.H. -- Fourth-quarter goals from
Riley McClure and
TJ Underhill proved to be win-clinchers for Bates College as the Bobcats secured an 8-6 non-conference road win at Keene State College Wednesday in men's lacrosse action.
After a
Rye Kushner goal provided Bates with a 5-2 lead at the 9:16 mark of the third period, the host-Owls (1-5) poured in four of the contest's next five tallies to tie the game at 6-6 with just one second to go in the penultimate frame of regulation.

McClure, with 13:02 left on the clock, snapped the stalemate with the game-winner, followed by Underhill's insurance goal at 7:11.
Eight different members of the garnet and white found the back of the net in the triumph as the Bobcats owned a slim 43-42 shooting margin (24-17 on goal) vs. Keene State.
Connor Hartman paced the visitors with four points on the day (goal, 3 assists).
Gray Doyle added to his team-leading points total with a goal and a helper in the win.
Andrew Toland improves to 2-2 in frame for the Bobcats as the first-year secured 11 saves in the complete-game performance. Keene State's Charlie Giuliotti denied 16 shots-on-goal in 60:00 for the Owls.
