LEWISTON, Maine -- The 2023-24 men's basketball regular season concluded Saturday as Bates College suffered a 79-54 defeat to visiting Wesleyan University in NESCAC men's basketball action.

As for the game itself, the Cardinals (13-11, 4-6 NESCAC) never trailed in the contest, leading by as many as 14 points in the opening stanza . Coming out of the break with a 43-32 advantage, the Wesleyan surplus inflated to a game-high 27 with 5:38 to go in the second half (75-48).
Despite the final result, two Bobcats recorded double-digit scoring performances. McCormick paced Bates with a team-best 13 points in his final game sporting the garnet and white. First-year
Marc Begin II, the Bobcats' leading scorer on the year, finished with 12 points. Harris snared 10 rebounds, topping all players.
Three Cardinals also hit for double-digits, topped by Shane Regan with 21 points.
