MEDFORD, Mass. -- Bates College men's basketball saw its three-game winning streak come to a close Saturday as the Bobcats experienced a 76-55 non-conference setback to Brandeis University in a contest hosted by Tufts University.
After some early back-and-forth in the first half, the Judges owned a slim 9-8 lead 5:31 into the game before seeing it manifest into a 41-20 surplus at the half, courtesy of a hearty 32-12 surge over the remaining 14:29. Brandeis (7-1), would build its lead to a high-water mark of 25 points on four different occasions in the second stanza as the outcome was never in doubt over the final 20:00 of play.
Senior captain
, Toby Harris (Durham, N.C.),
 paced the victors with a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double in 31 minutes of action.
Elias Rodl (Jr.-Berlin, Germany) provided 11 points of his own in the win.
Jahmir Primer netted a season-high 12 points in 17 minutes off the bench to headline the Bobcats' scoring column.
Peter Psyhogeos totaled 11 points in 28 minutes, complemented by a team-best three steals.
Bates (3-5) gets right back at it Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. when the Bobcats face off vs. the University of Rochester (6-3) to conclude the two-day event at Tufts.Â
