LEWISTON, Maine - Bates College women's volleyball closed out its 2024 campaign Saturday, but not before recognizing the collegiate careers of seniors

All in attendance were then treated to a closely-contested match as the visiting Cardinals escaped with a 3-1 NESCAC victory (25-17, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23). With the win, the Cardinals finish the regular-season at 13-9 (7-2 NESCAC) and clinch the #4 seed in the upcoming NESCAC Championship Tournament.Â
The Bobcats end the year at 10-12 (2-8 NESCAC).
Kortekaas saved her best for last as the senior landed a career-high 16 kills in her final game sporting the garnet and white.
Ami Evans authored her eighth double-double of the fall with 14 kills and 19 digs.
Sofia Castiglioni pocketed 11 kills of her own for the Bobcats.
Skye Higashihara also shined as the first-year ended her maiden collegiate campaign with 33 assists and 14 digs.
Sami Kim, also wrapping her first season as a Bobcat, settled 16 digs. Hansen enjoyed a season-best 14 digs while Chu dished 11 assists in their send-off.
