Mikayla Ferguson paced the Bates women's cross country team in the "blue" and "white" races respectively Saturday at the Connecticut College Invitational.
Pohl (Wayland, Mass.) placed 45th out of 277 runners in the blue race, crossing the finish line in 22:14.9. Sophomore
Leah White (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and senior
Isabelle Demeritt (Acton, Mass.) also landed in the top 100 for the Bobcats, taking 80th and 81st place respectively. As a team, the Bobcats scored 422 points, good for 14th out of 37 schools and ahead of rivals Bowdoin and Colby.
Ferguson (Winchester, Mass.) finished 55th out of 243 runners in the white race, crossing the finish line in 23:59.0. Senior
Inez Johnson (Bozeman, Mont.) and sophomore
Meadow Gregory (Exeter, N.H.) also finished in the top 100 for Bates, placing 73rd and 85th respectively. As a team, the Bobcats scored 355 points, good for 11th out of 25 schools and ahead of rival Bowdoin and Colby.
The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 2 when they compete in the NESCAC Championships at Pickard Field Cross Country Course in Brunswick, Maine.
