Trinity Goal in 85th Minute Puts Bates On Wrong End of 1-0 Decision

HARTFORD, Conn. -- A Gabby Grattan (Sr.-Milton, Mass.) goal with 5:45 remaining (84:15) snapped a scoreless stalemate and ultimately secured a 1-0 victory for Trinity College vs. visiting Bates Saturday in NESCAC women's soccer action.

The Bobcats have now lost three consecutive contests, all three being 1-0 decisions on the road vs. conference opponents.

In the shots column, the Bantams (4-2-3, 2-1-2 NESCAC) concocted a 19-7 advantage with a 9-3 surplus on frame. Mariana Cournoyer (Sr.-St. Paul, Minn.) collected the goalkeeping victory for Trinity with three saves. Ruby Reimann, in a complete-game effort (90:00), registered nine saves for the Bobcats (1-5-2, 0-4-1 NESCAC).

The garnet and white heads back to campus Sunday afternoon to host the University of Southern Maine at 4:00 p.m. in a non-conference tilt on Russell Street Track & Field.
