Box Score HARTFORD, Conn. -- Bates College women's volleyball, playing the first of back-to-back matches in the Nutmeg State this weekend, opened its NESCAC road trip Friday evening by dropping a 3-0 decision at Trinity College (25-20, 25-16, 25-19).
Eva Lekovic (Jr.-San Marino, Calif.) landed a match-best 10 kills in the win as the Bantams secure their first conference victory of the season (7-4, 1-2 NESCAC). Caroline Howell (So.-Houston, Texas) distributed 17 assists for Trinity.
Emma Patard paced the Bates offense with a season-high six kills.
Chrissy Chu set the table with 16 assists while
Ami Evans and
Ellie Asada recorded 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
Sofia Castiglioni soared to a match-high five blocks, including three solo efforts.
The Bobcats (3-8, 1-3 NESCAC) return to the court Saturday with a visit to #14 Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn.
