HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates men's tennis senior captain
Cam Davis-Kania and junior
Alexander Gujarathi earned Second Team All-NESCAC honors in Doubles, as announced Thursday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
Davis-Kania (Middlefield, Conn.) and Gujarathi (Plymouth, Mass.) teamed up all year at No. 1 Doubles for Bates, going 12-13 on the season and 8-8 in dual matches.
During one stretch in the spring, the duo won six out of eight matches, including victories over opponents from No. 31 MIT, No. 30 Skidmore, No. 18 Wesleyan, and No. 12 Bowdoin. Their 8-7 (7-4) win against the Polar Bear team of Tristan Bradley and Reid Staples was particularly impressive, as Bradley was named the NESCAC Player of the Year.

This marks the first All-NESCAC honors for Davis-Kania and Gujarathi in their careers.
The Bobcats finished the season with a 7-9 record in dual matches as a team and qualified for the NESCAC Championships as the seventh seed with a conference record of 4-6. It was their most conference wins since the 2017-18 season.
