AMHERST, Mass. -- #38 Bates College, playing its second NESCAC road match in as many days, traveled to Amherst College Sunday where the Bobcats dropped an 8-1 decision to the #7 Mammoths, 8-1.
Joanna Atwater (Sr.-Short Hills, N.J.) accounted for the lone point of the day for Bates, earning a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at No. 2 singles over Amherst's Sophie Diop.
