LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College women's tennis enjoyed a special day all around Saturday as the Bobcats, on the day they honored their senior class, secured their first NESCAC victory of the season with a solid 6-3 showing vs. Connecticut College.

Alexandra D'Aquino (Weston, Conn.),
Grace Kennedy (New York, N.Y.), and
Laura Littlefield (Ellicott City, Md.).
The duo ofÂ
Isabella Saul (Fy.-Brooklyn, N.Y.) and
Drew Williams (So.-Guilford, Conn.) opened action at No. 3 doubles with their 8-2 besting of Conn. College's Ella Griffiths and Kinley Yangden.
In singles competition, the Bobcats proved victorious in five of the six spots. Atwater opened at No. 1 with a straight-set win (7-5, 7-6 (10-4) over Cailtin Cass while
Ally Friedman (Jr.-East Hampton, N.Y.) added a 6-1, 6-1 showing vs. Sana Bhat at No. 2.
At No. 4, D'Aquino got into the action as the senior put away Courtney Banks by scores of 6-4, 6-4.
Ava Lyon (So.-Naples, Fla.) provided a swift 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Ella Griffiths in the No. 5 position.
Elizabeth Frekko (So.-Lake Forest, Ill.) added the Bobcats' sixth-and-final point with a 6-1, 6-2 defeat of Caroline Champa at No. 6.
