MIDDLETOWN, Conn. --  #19 Bates College, participating in the Summers Cup consolation semifinal of the CSA Men's Squash Team Championships Saturday, defeated #23 Colby College, 5-4, in a match hosted by Wesleyan University.

The win puts the garnet and white in the consolation final as the Bobcats will now battle #21 Middlebury on Sunday, commencing at 2:30 p.m. 

Alec Spiro (So.-Portland, Ore.), Ashton Monteiro (Fy.-Greenwich, Conn.), and Labeeb Ali (So.-Plano, Texas) each highlighted the win column with come-from-behind, 3-2 triumphs for the Bobcats at positions No. 1, 4, and 6, respectively. Chris Kenny (Fy.-Greenwich, Conn.) also scratched out a triumph in comeback fashion with a 3-1 victory at No. 5 for Bates.

Sultan Hashmi (Sr.-Tiburon, Calif.) recorded a tidy 22-minute, 3-0 win at No. 8.
