WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The Bates men's tennis team hung with NCAA Division II opponent Rollins College in multiple matches in a 7-0 loss Tuesday afternoon to start the spring season.Â
At No. 3 doubles, junior captain

Sophomore
Alexander Gujarathi (Plymouth, Mass.) and sophomore
Matthew Danielson (St. Petersburg, Fla.) hung with Denis Golubev and Andrea Brignacca in a 6-3 loss.
Junior captain
Nick Forester (Falmouth, Maine) turned in the most impressive performance in singles play, falling in three sets at No. 3. He won the first set against Charlie Putrino 6-4 but Putrino flipped the script and won the second set by the same score. In the third set tiebreaker, Putrino won 10-6 to secure the win over Forester.
The other five Bates singles players fell in straight sets, although sophomore

The Bobcats (0-1) return to action Wednesday when they visit Eastern Florida State for an 11am match.
