Volleyball Concludes '22 Campaign With Special Senior Day Celebration for Broda, Eide

LEWISTON, Maine - Bates College women's volleyball closed out its 2022 campaign Saturday, but not before recognizing the collegiate careers of seniors Madison Broda and Emma Eide during a special pregame Senior Day celebration as the Bobcats hosted Williams College in its season finale.

The visiting Ephs secured the 3-0 NESCAC victory with wins of 25-17, 25-12, and 25-20 as Williams moves to 13-7 (7-3 NESCAC) on the year. Bates finishes with a record of 6-17 (0-10 CACC).

Eide (Ramsey, N.J.), who was honored prior to Friday night's home match vs. Amherst for eclipsing 1,000 career assists, added 20 more helpers to her personal ledger vs. Williams. Broda (Portland, Maine), making her first start of the year, enjoyed a solid showing on the serve, landing an ace in the effort.

Alyssa Lowther (So.-Wyckoff, N.J.), the Bobcats' top offensive player on the year, floored a team-best nine kills for the garnet-and-white. Julia Neumann (So.-Norwell, Mass.) put back a match-high four blocks and connected on three kills. Katie Kortekaas (So.-Manhattan Beach, Calif.) put down five kills off the bench for Bates.
