Henry Ehrlich finished in a tie for 50th out of 115 competitors to pace the Bates men's golf team at the NEIGA Championship, held Saturday and Sunday at The Captains Course on Cape Cod.
Ehrlich (Portland, Ore.) shot a 79 on Saturday and a 77 on Sunday for a two-day score of 156. The Bobcats shot 646 as a team, good for 15th out of 23 schools.
Junior
Paul Detre (Morristown, N.J.) shot a 74 on Sunday, the lowest round of the tournament for Bates. He finished in a tie for 59th place with a two-day score of 159. Fellow junior
John Kawakami (Northport, N.Y.) finished in a tie for 66th place, three strokes behind Detre after shooting 81 both days.
The NEIGA Championship marks the final tournament of the fall for the Bobcats. Bates will host the NESCAC Championship this spring at Martindale Country Club.
