WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Sophomore
Evan Glicos shot a second day score of 76 to lead the Bates men's golf team at the Williams Fall Invitational over the weekend.
Glicos (Windham, Maine) finished tied for 39th out of 92 competitors with a two-day score of 156. Fellow sophomore
John Kawakami (Northport, N.Y.) finished just one stroke behind Glicos, shooting a 78 on Saturday and a 79 on Sunday.
The Bobcats placed 16th out of 18 teams overall at the tournament, held at Taconic Golf Club. Their team score of 644 was seven strokes ahead of Williams and Western New England. Bates finished just one stroke back of St. Lawrence and three strokes back of Bowdoin.
Bates men's golf returns to action this Saturday and Sunday at the Bowdoin Invitational.
