Alex Voight-Shelley shot a 76 on Sunday, the low round of the weekend for Bates, leading the Bobcat women's golf team to third place out of eight schools at the Williams Classic.
Voight-Shelley (State College, Pa.) finished third individually out of 48 golfers with her two-day score of 156, just five strokes behind medalist Danielle Landis of Wesleyan University. The Bobcats as a team shot 682, two strokes ahead of Wesleyan. SUNY @ Cortland shot 642 to take home the team title.

Maddy Kwei (Pasadena, Calif.) shot a 77 on Saturday, good for first place after one day of action. Her two-day score of 164 was good for a tie for sixth overall. First-year
Nerea Barranco Aramburu (Zarautz, Spain) and sophomore
Grace Acton (Harvard, Mass.) both finished tied for 26th. Acton's second day score of 88 is her best round yet as a collegiate golfer.
The Bates women's golf team returns to action this Saturday and Sunday at the NESCAC Fall Qualifier.
