LEWISTON, Maine -- Hannah Johnson, Josh Leiner and Matt Marcus received the Lindholm Scholar-Athlete Award on Saturday, May 26, while 43 classmates received Senior Scholar Awards at the third annual Senior Athlete Recognition Ceremony in the Olin Arts Concert Hall.
Forty-six student-athletes from the Class of 2018 received the Senior Scholar Award at the ceremony, headed by Johnson (alpine skiing), Leiner (men's tennis) and Marcus (men's golf), recipients of the 42nd Milton L. Lindholm Scholar-Athlete awards as the women's and men's varsity letter-winning athletes with the highest cumulative grade point averages. Leiner and Marcus tied for the men's award.
The 46 Senior Scholar Award winners from the Class of 2018 include women's alpine skier Hannah Johnson (Incline Village, Nev.), men's tennis player Josh Leiner (Baltimore, Md.) and men's golfer Matthew Marcus (Newton, Mass.), recipients of the Lindholm awards as the female and male varsity letter-winning athletes with the highest cumulative grade point averages. Leiner and Marcus tied for the men's Lindholm award.

The men's and women's Athlete of the Year and Senior Sportsmanship awards for 2017-18 will be awarded this fall.
