NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Bates women's tennis team defeated Connecticut College 8-1 on Saturday for the Bobcats' third consecutive victory and third NESCAC victory of the season.
Bates (6-10, 3-4 NESCAC) won all three doubles matches and five out of six singles matches, four times in straight sets.

Meanwhile senior Elizabeth Erbafina (Sudbury, Mass.) and first-year Isabelle Rovinski (New York, N.Y.) posted an 8-5 win over Aleksandra Drljaca and Angelica Warren at No. 2 doubles, and senior Kate Rosenthal (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and first-year Lauren Hernandez (Chester, N.J.) defeated Adrienne Sieverding and Brinley Bartlett 8-6 at No. 3.
The Camels (6-8, 0-6 NESCAC) earned their lone point with Drljaca's three-set victory (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) over Silverman at No. 1 singles. But Erbafina, Stone, Rovinski, Rosenthal and senior Olivia Voccola (Falmouth, Maine) swept singles matches two through six, respectively, for the win.
