WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The No. 39 nationally ranked Bates women's tennis team's season came to a close on Sunday with a 9-0 defeat to top-ranked Williams, with the host Ephs finishing the regular season undefeated (18-0) for the first time in team history. The Bobcats finish the season 4-11.

In the final match of her standout career, Bates senior captain Elena Mandzhukova (Lisbon, Portugal) teamed up with sophomore Elizabeth Erbafina (Sudbury, Mass.) in an 8-4 defeat to Juli Raventos and Linda Shin at No. 1 doubles, in the closest contest of the day. 

Mandzhukova played No. 1 singles and doubles for the Bobcats throughout her career. As a first-year student in 2012, she and Meg Anderson '12 were the program's first doubles team to compete in the NCAA Division III Doubles Championship.
