LEWISTON, Maine - The women's tennis team improved to .500 on the season Sunday with a convincing 9-0 victory over Mount Holyoke College at Merrill Gymnasium.

The Bobcats (3-3) won all six singles victories in straight sets over the Lyons (7-7). The duo combination of Elena Mandzhukova (Lisbon, Portugal) and Elizabeth Erbafina (Sudbury, Mass.) took the number one doubles victory (8-1), and Maisie Silverman (Brunswick, Maine) and Kelsey Pearson (Orange, Calif.) followed up with an 8-0 shutout in number two doubles play.

Emma Blakeley (Hope, Maine) and Kate Rosenthal (Pittsburgh, Pa.) netted an 8-5 win over Alexa Colas and Mira Murali in the number three doubles spot. In singles competition, Mandzukova, Erbafina, Silverman, Rosenthal, Olivia Voccola (Falmouth, Maine), and Madeline Stein (Pelham, N.Y.) each picked up wins. Silverman did not give up a point in the number three singles position, winning both sets 6-0.

The Bobcats next host Colby in New England Small College Athletic Conference action on Wednesday, March 18 at 5:00 p.m.
