Box Score LEWISTON, Maine. -- Ella Johnson buried 15 kills to lead the Connecticut College women's volleyball team to a 3-1 NESCAC victory at Bates College Saturday.
The set scores were 25-17, 23-25, 25-16 and 25-21 in favor of the visitors.
The Camels evened their record at 7-7 with a 2-2 mark in the NESCAC, while the Bobcats fell to 8-8 while remaining winless in NESCAC play (0-4).
Bates sophomore outside hitter Chandler McGrath (Seal Beach, Calif.) posted a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs to lead the Bobcats in the setback. Sophomore Nicole Peraica (East Northport, N.Y.) contributed six kills for the hosts. Junior Laryssa Schepel (Flemington, N.J.) recorded a match-high 15 digs while adding three aces for Bates.
Senior Tess Walther (Santa Monica, Calif.) dished out 16 assists to go with six digs, while first-year setter Jacqueline Forney (Bloomington, Ind.) doled out 11 assists for the Bobcats.
Johnson collected her 15 kills with just three errors on 28 swings to hit .429 in the triumph. She added two aces, three digs and three blocks for the winning side. Caroline Martin chipped in with 11 kills, 10 digs and three blocks en route to a double-double for the Camels.
Caroline Branigan registered 10 digs for the victors. Emily Arterbury dished out 20 assists while Katia Elisman added 17 helpers for the winning side.
Bates will host Williams on Friday, Oct. 10 at 8pm.
