Ahmed Hatata each went 3-0, but Bates College men's squash fell to Navy 5-4, Dartmouth 6-3, and Franklin & Marshall 7-2 from Saturday to Sunday at the Yale Round Robin at the Brady Squash Center.
The 13th-ranked Bobcats (8-5) narrowly lost to the No. 14 Midshipmen (12-4) in their first match of the day on Saturday before conceding to the 11th-ranked Big Green (2-5) later in the day. Bates dropped its match against the No. 6 Diplomats (10-2) on Sunday morning.
Abdel Khalek (Cairo, Egypt) won in straight sets at the No. 1 spot against all three of the team's opponents over the weekend while Hatata (Alexandria, Egypt) followed suit at the No. 2 position.
Junior Nabil Saleem (Alpharetta, Ga.) and sophomore Caran Arora (Mumbai, India) each picked up victories against the Midshipmen at the No. 4 and 6 spots respectively. First-year Nima Olumi (Newton, Mass.) nearly reversed the result in the Navy match but fell in five sets.
First-year Darrius Campbell (St. Stephen, S.C.) captured the Bobcats' third point in the Dartmouth match with a four-set win at No. 7.
Next, Bates hosts Colby on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for Senior Night.
