SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The No. 13 nationally ranked Bates men's squash team fell 7-2 to No. 9 Western Ontario on Sunday at Mount Holyoke College, but the Bobcats finished out an otherwise impressive weekend with a 3-1 record over three days, moving to 8-2 on the season.

Ahmed Abdel Khalek (Cairo, Egypt) put away Western Ontario's Albert Shoihet in four sets, while sophomore
Caran Arora (Mumbai, India) prevailed in a long five-setter at No. 6 over Devin Hinchey. First-year
Ahmed Hatata (Alexandria, Egypt) fell in a 3-2 battle to James Van Staveren at the No. 2 position.
The Bobcats rolled to their seventh and eighth consecutive victories this season on Saturday, downing No. 20 George Washington 8-1 before putting down their host and NESCAC rival, No. 22 Amherst, 8-1.

Bates travels to the Yale Round Robin next weekend to face Navy (Saturday 1pm), Dartmouth (Saturday 4pm) and Franklin & Marshall (Sunday 9am).
