WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Williams College notched a decisive 3-0 (25-9, 25-17, 25-19) NESCAC victory over the Bates College volleyball team on Saturday, using a lofty .326 attack percentage and six team blocks to rebound from Friday night's loss to Bowdoin.
Claire Miller had nine kills and Callie Kiernan added seven for the Ephs (12-7, 4-3 NESCAC).
First-year Emma Getsinger (Darien, Conn.) led the Bobcats in kills for the second straight match, with seven, in addition to eight digs. Junior Nicole Russell (Boca Raton, Fla.) had a match-high 16 digs, and first-year Tess Walther (Santa Monica, Calif.) passed out 14 assists in addition to two service aces and one kill.
Bates (2-14, 0-6 NESCAC) travels to Bangor for a non-conference match at Husson University on Thursday at 7 p.m.
