LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates volleyball team rallied for a victory in the third set, but Trinity College prevailed by a 3-1 (25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 25-21) score on Friday night at Alumni Gymnasium.

Senior Chrissy Gee (San Francisco, Calif.) had 15 kills against only four attack errors for the Bobcats (5-17, 0-9 NESCAC), while junior Eliza Pyne (Atherton, Calif.) pitched in with 13 kills. Pyne, senior Olivia Schow (Costa Mesa, Calif.) and first-year Hannah McGrath (Longmeadow, Mass.) had three blocks apiece for the Bobcats, who also received 30 assists from first-year Tess Walther (Santa Monica, Calif.) and 17 digs apiece from first-year Emma Getsinger (Darien, Conn.) and junior Nicole Russell (Boca Raton, Fla.).

Alexandra Pell powered the Bantams (17-7, 5-3 NESCAC) with 14 kills and only one attack error, for a .406 attack percentage. Hannah Brickley had a team-high 15 kills, and Sarah Blagden had a match-high 25 digs. Jennifer Low passed out 33 assists.
