LEWISTON, Maine -- No. 17 nationally ranked Tufts University defeated the Bates College women's tennis team 9-0 on Saturday, dealing the host Bobcats their first NESCAC conference defeat.
The Jumbos raised their record to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in NESCAC play, while the Bobcats dropped to 6-2 overall, 1-1 in the NESCAC.
Bates plays at Bowdoin on Wednesday, while Tufts plays at Wesleyan.
