WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Bates College volleyball team scored its first conference win with a 3-1 (28-26, 25-23, 16-25, 25-20) victory over Hamilton College Friday night at Williams.

The Bobcats (6-10 overall, 1-4 NESCAC) will play the host Ephs at Williams on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Sophomore Eliza Pyne (Atherton, Calif.) had a team-high 16 kills and six blocks, while sophomore Nicole Russell (Boca Raton, Fla.) added 11 kills and 22 digs. Senior Rachel Colby (Willimantic, Conn.) had 15 digs and two service aces, while junior Chrissy Gee (San Francisco, Calif.) added six kills and 11 digs.

First-year setter Jennifer Youngpeter (Mobile, Ala.) collected 30 assists, 11 digs and three service aces, while fellow rookie Catherine Dioli (Ipswich, Mass.) had 10 digs.
