MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Competing at NESCAC foe Middlebury College on Sunday, the Bates College women's tennis team fell by an 8-1 score.
The Bobcats, playing without two of their top players who are injured in senior Cecilia Grissa and sophomore Alexandra Piacquad, fell to 1-4 on the year. Senior captain Mallika Raghavan (Chappaqua, N.Y.) put up a fight in the best match of the day, a 6-2, 7-5 loss to Chandra Kurien at No. 2 singles.
Bates will play host to Brandeis University on Saturday, March 15 at 12 p.m.
