LEWISTON, Maine -- The No. 9 nationally ranked Middlebury College women's tennis team encountered a few obstacles on the way but came out on top of host Bates on Sunday at Merrill Indoor Gymnasium by a 9-0 score.
Bates dropped to 4-6 while the Panthers raised their mark to 10-3.
Bates plays at The College of New Jersey on Wednesday.
