WALTHAM, Mass. -- The Brandeis University women's tennis team got head coach Ben Lamanna '02 his second career win over his alma mater today, defeating Bates College, 6-3, indoors at Gosman Athletic Center.
Bates (3-3) senior Laura Harris (Mercer Island, Wash.) won twice for the Bobcats, at the No. 4 singles position over Ariana Sanai and at first doubles with sophomore Caryn Benisch (Huntington, N.Y.), where she combined with Benisch for an 8-5 victory. First-year Alexandra Piacquad (Yardley, Pa.) won at No. 2 singles over the Judges' Ana Katz.
Bates will play at Tufts next Sunday, March 31 at 11 a.m.
