WATERVILLE, Maine -- The Bates College women's tennis was edged in a 5-4 decision at NESCAC rival Colby College Tuesday night on Colby's indoor courts.
Bates first-year Caryn Benisch (Huntington, N.Y.) and junior Laura Harris (Mercer Island, Wash.) won points for the Bobcats at third and fourth singles, respectively. Harris teamed up with sophomore Cecilia Grissa to win at first doubles, while Benisch and senior Liz Currie (Yarmouth, Maine) won at second doubles.
Bates (3-4) plays at Smith College on March 25.
