MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Bates College's volleyball team ended its season with a pair of losses Saturday during a NESCAC weekend at Wesleyan University.
The Bobcats (12-19, 2-9 NESCAC) lost 3-1 to Connecticut College before bowing out with a 3-0 loss to Wesleyan.
Bates first-year Liz Leberman (Concord, N.H.) had a team-high 11 kills Bates lost to the Camels by game scores of 30-21, 30-26, 23-30 and 30-20. Junior Jenn Linton (Redding, Conn.) and first-year Tess Dokus (Salem, Conn.) had eight kills apiece. Sophomore Beth Billington (St. Paul, Minn.) contributed seven kills and four blocks, and senior Katie Graeff (Chevy Chase, Md.) added 40 assists.
Wesleyan topped Bates by scores of 30-18, 30-18 and 30-20. First-year Avery Masters (Mill Valley, Calif.) had a team-high seven kills for Bates, while Graeff tallied 17 assists in her final collegiate match.
