STATS: Trinity 3, Bates 0

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- In the first match of the final weekend of regular season, the Bates College volleyball team lost a NESCAC match to Trinity College, 3-0, at Wesleyan University.

Trinity (14-6, 4-4 NESCAC) won by game scores of 30-14, 30-20, 30-18. Bates dropped to 12-17 overall, and 2-6 in NESCAC play.

First-year Avery Masters (Mill Valley, Calif.) had a team-high six kills for the Bobcats. Sophomore Beth Billington (St. Paul, Minn.) added five kills and two blocks, while senior Katie Graeff (Chevy Chase, Md.) contributed 21 assists.

With hopes of a No. 8 seed in next weekend's NESCAC Championship still alive, Bates will play Connecticut College Saturday at 11 a.m. and Wesleyan at 4 p.m. Both matches will be played at Wesleyan.
