BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The Bates College volleyball team outlasted host and NESCAC rival Bowdoin College in five games on Friday night, 30-25, 24-30, 30-23, 28-30, 15-12, snapping the Bobcats' seven match losing streak.

Beth Billington (St. Paul, Minn.; 14 kills, five blocks) and Jasmine McDavid (Brooklyn, N.Y.; 15 kills, four blocks) led the Bates front line in the win, while Katie Graeff (Chevy Chase, Md.) fed teammates with 38 assists and contributed five blocks.

Liz Santy's (Farmington, Conn.) all-around efforts yielded nine kills, four aces and 21 digs. Lauren Gold (Sacramento, Calif.) and Katherine Dexter (Seattle) added 28 and 15 digs, respectively, and Jenn Linton (Redding, Conn.) had five aces.

Bates (5-16, 1-4 NESCAC) hosts Amherst College on Sunday in Alumni Gymnasium at 1 p.m.
