NEW LONDON, N.H. -- The Bates College women's volleyball team lost a non-league match at Colby-Sawyer College Tuesday evening in straight games, 30-12, 30-22, 30-7, as Colby-Sawyer's Anne Coulter picked up her 1,000th career kill.
Beth Billington led the Bobcats (4-17) with seven kills and one block. Jenn Linton had five kills and a block, while Liz Santy came up with 13 digs and Katie Graeff had 16 assists.
Bates was limited to 3.2 percent hitting, while Colby-Sawyer hit at a .241 rate.
Coulter led the Chargers (15-6) with 12 kills.
Bates will play at NESCAC rival Bowdoin College Friday at 7 p.m.
