Junior Alexander Ignatov (Trumbull, Conn.) finished third in the 200-yard individual medley (2:01.67) and in the 500 freestyle (4:49.82) against Ivy League opponent Dartmouth Friday at Tarbell Pool.

"His 500 was one of the gutsiest performances this year," Bates head coach Peter Casares said. "He was out-touched in the end, but the ground he made up in the final 100 yards got an entire team cheering and celebrating. Not to mention his 500 time was the fastest he’s even been for us in-season."
