Bates College

Upon graduation in 2020, Ignatov ranks in the top 10 all-time at Bates in these events:

500-yard freestyle, 1st (4:36.45).

1,000-yard freestyle, 1st (9:35.52).

1,650-yard freestyle, 1st (16:03.29).

400-yard individual medley, 3rd (4:05.68).

800-yard freestyle relay, 5th (6:53.91), 7th (6:57.18) and 8th (6:57.35). Top split of 1:43.49 (11th).

Career: One of 48 Senior Scholar Award-winners, who have participated in varsity sports for four years and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better. 

2019-20: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Helped Bates take 14th in the 800 freestyle relay (6:57.18) at the NESCAC Championships.

2018-19: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Took 16th place in the 500 free (4:43.79) at the NESCAC Championships.

2017-18: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... At the NESCAC Championships, Ignatov broke his fourth team record with his trial time of 4:05.87 in the 400-yard individual medley, topping the mark of 4:09.40 set by Drew Beland in 2016.... Ignatov placed 12th overall and fourth in the consolation final with his time of 4:05.68, lowering the record by another 0.19 seconds.... Ignatov also owns Bates' three distance freestyle records.

2016-17: Earned a Scholar All-America Honorable Mention from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.... Earned All-NESCAC honors for his third-place showing in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the NESCAC Championships.
