Junior Jeff Spellman (Boston, Mass.) finished in double figures scoring in all four games over the break for the Bates men's basketball team, including the Bobcats' 81-71 win over Colby on Saturday. Against the Mules, Spellman scored 15 points on 6-10 shooting, grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, dished out two assists and recorded two steals.

Spellman scored 13 points against Staten Island on Dec. 28, 15 points against Gwynedd Mercy on Dec. 29 and 14 points against Bowdoin on Friday in the Bobcats' NESCAC opener. 

Spellman is averaging 14 points per game so far this year, tops on the team.
