Junior Emmy Daigle (Portland, Ore.) won both the 100 breast (1:07.71) and the 200 breast (2:29.72) to help the Bates women's swimming and diving team defeat Middlebury 163.5-130.5 on Sunday.

"She has stepped up huge," Bates head coach Peter Casares said. "She seemingly won't miss out on this opportunity to be our top breaststroke, and one of the best in the conference."

The Bates swimming and diving teams compete in their second and final home meet of the season Friday at 7pm against Bowdoin.
