Alter headed in a corner kick from first-year Gwyn Jamison in the 90th minute and the Bates women's soccer team picked up a key 1-0 win at Connecticut College on Saturday. It was the third goal of the season for Alter, tying her for the team lead. 

The victory puts the Bobcats squarely in the playoff race with two matches to go, as they are now tied with the Camels for the final NESCAC tournament spot.
