First-year Juliette Hoder continued her remarkable carnival season with a sixth-place showing in the slalom Friday at the Middlebury Carnival, which doubles as the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association Championships.
Hoder netted her second top-10 result of the season, placing a career-best sixth out of 77 competitors with a two-run combined time of 1:43.48 at the Middlebury Snow Bowl. She earned 37 carnival points and 40 NCAA points.
She followed up her performance in the slalom with another top-30 result in the giant slalom taking 24th with a two-run combined time of 2:05.41 on Saturday.
Hoder is in good position to qualify for the NCAA Skiing Championships. Selections will be announced on ncaa.com Tuesday at 1pm.
