Bates men's cross country senior captain Ned Farrington has qualified as an individual to compete at the NCAA Championships, being held this Saturday in Newville, Pa. 

Farrington (Cohasset, Mass.) qualified on the strength of his performance at the NCAA East Regional Championship, where he took fourth place out of 229 runners with a career-best time of 24:40.7 in the 8K race.

 Farrington becomes the first Bates men's cross country runner to qualify as an individual since Allen Sumrall '16 in 2015.
